Safe Start-Early Childhood Mental Health Updates conference last February highlighted a less-commonly tackled age-group’s mental health (children 0-5 years) in Lebanon and the region. Renowned local and international speakers in the mental health field whose work and research address this age group led the conference sessions. Topics such as assessment challenges in early childhood, reading and interpreting behavior in young children, and treatment models with children and families were addressed. The sessions offered valuable resources to daycare staff, teachers, and parents among participants for other fields.
